30th of December 2020 - The 1st cheese board
Ani creates a cheeseboard for our friend group in a cottage near Turku, Finland. Little does she know the spark it will ignite for creating culinary delights and bringing people together for a good time.
10th of March 2021 - Official registration of Fygë as a company
Fast forward to March 10, 2021, the day Fygë officially became a registered company. It was a momentous occasion, marking the start of our journey as a bona fide business.
1st of April 2021 - Rental agreement signed for the first business premises
April 1, 2021, marked another significant milestone as we proudly signed the rental agreement for our first business premises in Jätkäsaari, Helsinki. It was the dawn of a new era for Fygë, and we wasted no time getting down to business.
3rd of May 2021 - Launch with 100 boxes! Big success
Just one month later on May 3rd 2021, we made our grand entrance with 100 charcuterie boxes, and boy, did they fly off the shelves! Ok, maybe not fly and not from the shelves but our launch was a great success, setting the stage for what was to come.
June 2021 - A local Hungarian newspaper writes about Fygë’s story
June 2021 brought unexpected recognition as a local Hungarian newspaper spotlighted Fygë's story. Our parents and grandparents in Hungary shed tears, while we in Finland were shredding vegetables.
August 2021 - We could afford stickers to the car and windows
You would never think how much these things cost until you become a business owner. But hey, branding is important.
November 2021 - Szabi speaks, Fygë caters to Slush side events
As the year progressed, so did Fygë's reach and reputation. In November 2021, Szabi took the stage, showcasing Fygë at Slush side events.
December 2021 - Corporate gifting takes over with 100s of boxes sent around EU & 1st ever corporate catering event!
In December 2021, corporate gifting became our bread and butter, with hundreds of boxes making their way across the EU. Plus, we nailed our first-ever corporate catering gig – a pivotal moment that decided the present of Fygë.
June 2022 - Graduation day is busier than ever with 12 events on one day
In June 2022 we've had our busies day until then, with 12 graduation gigs on one day, keeping our team on their toes for 20+ hours. Our feet might have suffered a bit but our taste buds didn't.
Oct 2022 - 1st official employee joins to Fygë
In October 2022, we welcomed our very first official full time employee to the Fygë family. It was a proud moment, knowing that our team was growing along with our business.
January 2023 - Lease agreement signed for our brand new HQ, huge commitment!
Fast forward to January 2023, and things were really heating up. We signed the lease for our brand-new HQ in Ruoholahti and kicked off construction. By February 2023, the Fygë fleet had expanded to two vehicles, ready to conquer the corporate catering scene one delivery at a time.
March 2023 - 5 people on board
As the months rolled on, so did our team, with five talented individuals in the Fygë family by March 2023.
September 2023 - Moving to the new HQ
In September 2023, we were ready to spread our wings and move into our new HQ and brand new kitchen – a space as vibrant and dynamic as the flavors we serve.
November 2023 - 1st month with over 100.000€ in revenue & NEW WEBSITE ALIVE!
But perhaps the sweetest milestone of them all came in November 2023, when we hit our first-ever month of over €100,000 in revenue. It was a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team, not to mention the unwavering support of our incredible customers. It was the same month we launched Finland's most comprehensive catering ordering platform, the website you're reading this text on.
May 2024 - 11 people on board
And here we are today, with 11 talented individuals, representing 8 different countries, proudly carrying the Fygë torch. We are all so different, but one thing unites us: the drive to innovate and create exceptional services for our clients.
To celebrate this journey with flavour, we are adding one mini box, filled with our house-made desserts, to every new order that is delivered or picked up between 10.5.-31.5. We hope you enjoy the treats. <3
